Our history

SIRIUS Conseils was founded in 1999 by two IT managers, Daniel Roy and Benoît Godbout, later joined by Jacques Godbout, a finance specialist. Initially operating under the name SIRIUS Conseils en Technologies de l’Information, the company entered the Montreal market thanks to the experience of its shareholders in the field of information technology, particularly in managing and implementing Y2K conversion projects. Its presence was quickly noticed in the financial, banking, and insurance sectors. In 2001, Jacques Cusson joined the team to lead major projects and support market development.
During the downturn in the IT industry between 2001 and 2002, SIRIUS transitioned into a specialized project management firm and was recognized as a registered global provider of education services by the Project Management Institute. This shift enabled the company to solidify its reputation and make significant inroads across Quebec. At this point, the company’s president, Daniel Roy, left the company, and Benoît Godbout took over as president, a position he has held ever since.

It also enables SIRIUS to offer professional development in project management principles, in alignment with PMI’s standards.
